Lighting the Cork Board
An early concern was how to light the cork board so that prints that looked good on the cork board also looked good other places. I found the Photographic Society of America guidelines to be authoratitive, and also too bright. (Check out Competitions > Uniform Practices on the home page.) I ended up with a 10-inch reflector, with a 60-watt GE Reveal bulb, on either side of the board, about 4 feet away. This gives me about the illumination level you would get on the wall of a typical office. Works just fine.

Paris Panorama
My brother turned me on to the panorama assist mode on the Canon A620. Here's the result: the Ile de la Cite in Paris, from the Pont des Artes.
