David, for me this is the most arresting image in this series up to now. First of all I like its bold and clear graphics, but the blue of the sky makes on hesitate at first to see it as an abstraction and allows (me) to only slowly recognize the sparse shapes and bring them back into a recognizable picture and soothe the unrestful mind through that. This image really works well!
Thanks, Markus! I like this one, too, especially the way the downspout shadow is the same color as the sky. I'm glad that someone besides me enjoys these "altered images". At first I hesitated to put them on the blog, since I think of it as a "straight photo" blog. But then I decided I should include them, since they are part of what I do.
I want to thank you for adding me to your "blogs I read" list. I don't get a lot of hits, but many of them come from your site. We all want our pictures to be seen.
